Cotton Bowl Foundation Readies For North Texas Giving Day

All Funds Raised Will Support Café Momentum!

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Cotton Bowl Foundation announced today that all funds raised on North Texas Giving Day on September 20th will go to support Café Momentum, which has close ties to the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

Café Momentum, a Dallas-based restaurant and culinary training facility, transforms young lives through its progressive internship program by equipping the community’s most at-risk youth with life skills, education and employment opportunities to help them achieve their full potential.

“We’ve enjoyed a long relationship with Chad Houser and Café Momentum,” Rick Baker, Cotton Bowl Foundation President said. “Chad and his team have become an integral part of the success of the Tall Cotton Cuisine which has become a signature event for the participating teams at the Classic. Café Momentum is changing lives, and we hope everyone will support this worthwhile endeavor.”

Donors are encouraged to visit the Cotton Bowl Foundation’s website on North Texas Giving Day… www.cottonbowlfoundation.org. The first $25,000 raised for Café Momentum will be matched by an anonymous donor.

North Texas Giving Day is run by the Communities Foundation of Texas and is an 18-hour online giving day for nonprofits. Last year, the event raised over $39 million for 2,700+ local nonprofits. North Texas Giving Day is the largest community-wide giving event in the country.

The Foundation’s mission is to serve the communities associated with the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic by supporting programs that improve opportunities for underserved youth. The Foundation’s vision is to make an impact on those who play the game, attend the game and support the game.

Since the Cotton Bowl Foundation began awarding grants in 2016, the Foundation has given nearly $750,000. The Cotton Bowl Foundation is the official foundation associated with the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic at AT&T Stadium.
